The super wonderful Tasha from The Hampshire Wedding Club invited me to design a few flowery things for a styled shoot at The Hotel du Vin, Winchester. Well I jumped at the chance of having a play. The brief was this…

“Charles (Charlie) Hurst is going to marry Madeleine Carroll
on July 15th 2018.Charles is an architect, and Maddy is an SEO expert. They met at an art gallery in Amsterdam on a weekend away with best friends. ( I particulary love this bit and Tim and I love an Amstrdam escape.)
Maddy was bought up in Paris by her diplomat father, and nanny Isabella ( My middle name is Isabel)
They travelled the world, but have always called Paris home. (As a family we go to Paris once a year)
Sunday morning is father daughter time at Au Vieux Paris d’Arcole, a tradition that remains today and the place Charles proposed to Maddy.
The matriarch of Charles’ family lived for many years in Winchester, so honouring her memory is important to the couple. Her name was Hetty, and she lived for drinking strong french coffee, and smoking Gauloises until the day she passed away at 98 years young.”

Along with this wonderful story came story boards of photo ideas and a colour palette for the flowers. What fun I had planning what to do with the instructions of doing something in the ceremony room and a couple of bouquets along with stems to place on the table scape.

The results as you can see are amazing!

We are due to be featured on Love My Dress wedding blog soon and on March 10th 2019 we are having an open day Hotel Du Vin, so if you fancy a trip to Winchester come and meet all the suppliers who were involved in this shoot.
