This design is part of Noctcaelador collection, which uses concepts of fashion to look at light pollution, how it affects plants and ourselves as living organisms. The name Iman roughly translates to mean ‘faithful person’. We wanted to use names that could very well be found in a story from Arabian Nights.
Concepts of fashion
For Iman, we used plants indigenous to the desert. In this design, you can see the deep burnt orange, spidery Leucaspurnum flower in infinite circles peeping through the tile tessellation. The full design uses an image of a man and woman flying on a horse and comes as an 80cm square silk scarf. It can also be made into the fringed top as seen in the gallery.
